Hi, I’m Nelma!
I'm a Boston native, raised by immigrant parents from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At thirteen, we moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where I attended high school and later earned a degree in Marketing with a minor in International Business from Western Kentucky University.
COVID-19 disrupted my senior year plans, including studying abroad in Barcelona. However, six months after graduation, I was fortunate enough to embark on an internship journey abroad. I spent two unforgettable months in Valencia, Spain, immersing myself in work and exploration. It was then that I realized my true passion for travel—a revelation fitting for a double Sagittarius.
Why Ms.Worldwide?
Returning from Spain, readjusting to everyday life was a challenge. Thoughts of my time abroad consumed me from dawn till dusk. Landing a marketing job initially seemed like a step forward, but it turned out to be a disappointment—a multi-level marketing scheme that shattered my confidence and dimmed my outlook on both my career and life.
After grappling with this setback for weeks, I confronted myself with a pivotal question: What was my dream? Every fiber of my being resonated with a single word: TRAVEL.
My aspiration has always been to explore the world fully, embracing all its wonders within our limited time on this beautiful planet. My mission is to inspire and empower others through transparency, revealing the boundless potential that exists when we liberate ourselves from the constraints of societal norms and timelines.
